Ohio University Hosts Ethics Jeopardy Event
On Tuesday September 13, 2016, the Ohio University StudentCPT chapter held its first general body meeting of the Fall 2016 semester. Chapter leadership wanted to do something fun, interactive and engaging to entice students to come back for future meetings. To achieve this goal, the chapter hosted an Ethics Jeopardy event to quiz students on their knoweldge of ethical leadership concepts and behviors.
During this meeting, the chapter officers also provided an overview of the StudentCPT chapter program, signed up students to participate in an upcoming volunteer opportunity, and Maggie Sudetic spoke about her experience at the 2016 StudentCPT Leadership Conference in Denver.
Next, the chapter officers split meeting attendees into groups and facilitated icebreaker session for chapter members to get to know each other. After the ice breaker, students also developed the following chapter committees: financing committee, programming committee, social media committee, and community outreach committee. The goal of the committee structure is to help more chapter members take on leadership roles and learn about a part of the chapter that they find most interesting.
Ohio University’s next chapter meeting will be held on October 18, 2016.
